Does Print Marketing Sell Homes?

Many sellers want to know what type of print marketing an agent is going to do for their home. Especially in the uber high-end value range where you have publications such as Dream homes, Premier magazine, the UT, and so on. However, these print marketing ads don't actually sell homes. Instead, they are more of a way for agents to brand themselves and for sellers to have peace of mind that they are in some of the top publications in Southern California. It's nice to have your home displayed on the coffee table and share it with your friends, but it will not drive the proper traffic that's needed to get buyers in the door, get offers on the table and get your home sold in the least amount of time with the least amount of headaches....which, is the ultimate goal for a seller. Taking a quick look at the stats in the video will show you that in 2018, less than 1% of buyers found a home through print marketing. This number is likely even less for 2019 and this year, 2020. Close to 80% of buyers get their listings from online shopping or their agent, who is also sending it via the internet. So, while it's nice to have print marketing done for your home, that money is definitely better allocated elsewhere such as online ads, events, etc...That's how you are going to get the most buyers into your home, get multiple offers, and negotiate a top-dollar price.
